Five countries partaking in economic forum in Kalinkovichi
GOMEL, 20 November (BelTA) – Representatives of five countries take part in an economic forum in the town of Kalinkovichi of the Gomel oblast on 20 November. An invitation to attend the forum was sent to businessmen from Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, diplomats from Lithuania, officials from twin-towns of the Kiev and Bryansk oblasts and the Krasnodar Krai, all in all over 30 people, BelTA learnt from Head of the Economy Department of the Kalinkovichi Regional Executive Committee Svetlana Loban.
The forum started with an exhibition Kalinkovichi-Cooperation 2009 aimed to inform the guests about foreign economic activity of the region and most promising projects in which foreign investors are invited to participate. The exhibition was followed by a plenary session titled “Investment and innovation as a key to sustained regional development, cooperation and partnership.” The participants shared their views experience of cooperating with local economic entities praising the significant progress in the improvement of business climate in Belarus in general.
The participants of the forum are to visit the leading enterprises of the town, namely Kalinkovichi Dairy and Kalinkovichi Furniture Factory.
