Gomel, Russian Krasnoselsk sign agreement on cooperation
GOMEL, 16 September (BelTA) – Gomel and Krasnoselsk district of Saint Petersburg, the Russian Federation, signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation in the Belarusian oblast center on 16 September. The signing ceremony took place just before of the opening of the 4th Gomel Economic Conference, Natalia Gevraseva, the head of the town’s department of economy, told BelTA.
Partaking in the Gomel Economic Conference are more than 280 businessmen and officials from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries. Invitations have been sent to nearly 50 foreign businessmen that have already joined the projects in the city or have shown interest in this Belarusian region. The conference is attended by the delegations from all Belarusian oblasts, except for Grodno Oblast.
Gomel investment projects are the major issue at the conference. The economic and investment potential of the city’s largest companies has been presented in the business center of the Gomel-Raton free economic zone where the conference has taken place. Foreign guests have been provided with an opportunity to visit industrial companies and construction sites to talk with potential partners.
The economic conference is a part of events prepared to mark City Day in Gomel on 17 September.
