Belarus to decide on investor for potash salts deposit within month
MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – The investor for the exploitation of the Petrikovskoye potash salts deposit has to be determined within a month, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as he heard out a report from Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich on 1 November.
The press service of the Belarusian head of state told BelTA, there are six companies interested in buying out the deposit. Among them are a Chinese company, a Ukrainian one, a Kazakh one, a Canadian-Chinese one. It is necessary to do one’s best to allow Belarus to get the most out of this business, said the head of state.
In the end of November the Prime Minister is supposed to inform the President about what has been done to choose the optimal investor and present a draft relevant decree.
The President also gave instructions to step up efforts for attracting investors in the raw materials industry.
